Claude Opus 4.6

Claude Opus 4.6 was Anthropic's flagship until April 17, 2026, when Opus 4.7 succeeded it. 4.6 remains available on the API at $5 input and $25 output per million tokens and still leads on many reasoning and code benchmarks. It is the first Claude to carry the full 1 million token context window at standard pricing, with full tool use and vision, so a 900K request bills at the same per-token rate as a 9K one. Two operational notes: it accepts the inference_geo parameter, where US-only routing applies a 1.1x multiplier, and fast mode requests run at standard speed and standard rates rather than erroring.
